Marcus Chen

Head Coach & Olympic Weightlifting Specialist

Been coaching for about 12 years now, started as a competitive weightlifter myself until my shoulders had other plans. That injury taught me more about proper mechanics than any textbook ever could. I've worked with everyone from desk workers who can barely touch their toes to provincial-level athletes. My thing? Getting you moving better before we pile on the weight.

Jade Rodriguez

Certifications

  • NASM-CPT
  • Kickboxing Instructor Certified
  • TRX Suspension Training
  • FMS Level 2

Specialty: Combat Sports & HIIT Conditioning

Jade Rodriguez

Combat Conditioning Coach

Former amateur Muay Thai fighter - had about 15 fights before transitioning to coaching. Combat sports taught me what real conditioning looks like, not that "let's do burpees till we puke" nonsense. I design programs that'll actually make you functional, whether you're prepping for a fight or just wanna feel like a total badass in daily life.

Devon Patterson

Certifications

  • Canfitpro PTS
  • Functional Range Conditioning
  • StrongFirst Kettlebell Level 2
  • CHEK Exercise Coach

Specialty: Functional Movement & Mobility Training

Devon Patterson

Functional Training & Mobility Specialist

Played college rugby till a back injury sidelined me permanently. That's when I got obsessed with understanding how bodies actually move and break down. Now I'm the guy who'll tell you your hip mobility sucks before we even think about loading a barbell. People think I'm nitpicky - and yeah, I am. But that's 'cause I've seen what happens when folks skip the fundamentals and chase numbers.

Alina Volkov

Certifications

  • NSCA-CPT
  • Powerlifting Coach - CPU
  • Sports Nutrition Specialist
  • Pre/Postnatal Exercise Specialist

Specialty: Powerlifting & Women's Strength Training

Alina Volkov

Powerlifting Coach

Competed in powerlifting at the national level for 6 years. My total's nothing crazy but I've pulled 405 at 138lbs bodyweight, so I know a thing or two about getting strong without getting huge. Real talk - I specialize in coaching women who've been told they'll get "bulky" if they touch a barbell. Spoiler alert: that's garbage.

Kyle Brewster

Certifications

  • CSEP-CPT
  • Metabolic Conditioning Specialist
  • Plyometric & Speed Training Cert
  • Youth Athletic Development

Specialty: Metabolic Conditioning & Athletic Performance

Kyle Brewster

Conditioning & Performance Coach

Spent 8 years as a strength coach for junior hockey teams before moving into the general population training world. My sessions? They're gonna suck - in the best way possible. I'm all about building that gas tank so you don't blow up in the third period of life. Whether you're training for a specific sport or just wanna keep up with your kids, we'll get your conditioning dialed in.

Simone Abbasi

Certifications

  • RYT-500 Yoga Instructor
  • Certified Athletic Therapist
  • Myofascial Release Specialist
  • Rehabilitation Exercise Specialist

Specialty: Mobility, Recovery & Injury Prevention

Simone Abbasi

Mobility & Recovery Specialist

I'm the person you see when you've ignored all the warning signs and your body's finally had enough. Former dancer turned rehab specialist - I get how frustrating it is when your body won't do what your brain wants it to. My job's making sure you can train hard without falling apart. Think of me as the maintenance person for your chassis.

What Working With Us Actually Looks Like

Initial Assessment

We're gonna watch you move, ask about your history, and figure out what's actually going on with your body. Takes about an hour. Yeah, it might feel like overkill, but we'd rather spend time here than waste months training around problems we didn't know existed.

Program Design

Your coach builds a plan based on what you need, not some cookie-cutter template. We adjust every 3-4 weeks depending on how you're progressing. If something's not working, we change it. Simple as that.

Training Sessions

Sessions run 60 minutes. We're not gonna stand there with a clipboard watching you do all the work - we're coaching, cueing, adjusting loads, and making sure you're getting the most out of every rep. You're paying for expertise, not babysitting.

Ongoing Support

Got questions between sessions? Text your coach. Dealing with some random ache? Let us know. We're not disappearing until your next scheduled appointment - this is a partnership, and we're invested in your success outside the gym too.
